Required Parts
For the correct software, refer to M0077247, "New Software Group Is Now Used on Certain Mini Hydraulic Excavators".Procedure for Setting the Machine Configuration
Follow the below steps to make the necessary selections to provide the correct functionality to the machine :

After flashing the new software, the machine configuration will have to be set through the Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET). The Serial number identification must be entered using the first three letters and the last five numbers of the serial number. (For example : S/N:FJX00000).
Once the serial number of the machine has been entered, there are 10 machine configuration options that must have the status selected.

Product link selection must be made between the Basic, Not Installed, or Pro. Pro is installed as the factory default at this time.

Engine Speed Management Feature Installation Status selection can be made between the Installed or Not Installed. This is the "Power on Demand" function and is set from the factory as Installed.Note: The Engine Speed Management Feature is not available on the 303.5 starting with Prefixes S/N:BG8 and ; S/N:JWY.

Camera System Installation Status will be determined by if the machine is equipped with the backup camera. The selection is Installed or Not Installed.

The Travel Alarm Installation Status will be determined by if the machine is equipped with the travel alarm system. The selection is Installed or Not Installed.

The Quick Coupler Installation Status must be selected. The choices are Installed with Coupler Accelerator, Installed without Coupler Accelerator or Not Installed.

Machine Overload Pressure Sensor Installation will be determined by if the machine is equipped with the boom and stick lowering control valve system that is required in the EU. The selection is Installed or Not Installed.

Joystick Mapping Installation Status must be made between Installed or Not Installed.

Joystick Mapping Configuration must be selected. If the machine is equipped with a pattern changer Backhoe Mapping or Excavator Mapping can be selected. If the machine is not equipped with a pattern changer Not Installed must be selected.

Left Joystick Switch #1 Installation Status must be selected. If the machine is equipped with second auxiliary select Installed. This will activate the left-hand joystick thumb wheel. If the machine is not equipped with second auxiliary, Not Installed must be selected.
Blade Installation Status must be selected. If the machine is equipped with an angle blade the status must be selected as angle blade installed. If it is a straight blade machine the Off status should be selected.
