Left Screed Operator Stations

(2) Compaction screen iconNote: The left screed operator console is shown in the illustration above. The left console and the right console are similar. However, based on location code, the left console has priority during identical input on both operator stations.The operator controls for the tamper system are programmed in the software. Access to the controls is through operator display (1) on the screed control stations and tractor control stations.The tamper settings entered in the operator display (1) are monitored by the screed ECM. The parameter data is monitored and communicated by the transmission ECM and the machine ECM to the screed ECM via CAN lines.The icons on the left and right of the operator display (1) are screen selectors. The soft keys next to the icons are used to select the corresponding screen. Alternatively, if the touch screen is active, the icons are touched to make selections.Operator display (1) is operational when the machine key switch is in the ON position. Compaction screen icon (2) is selected to access the tamper controls.Note: When the operator switches from one tractor control station to the other station, tamper settings are maintained.

(12) OK iconCompaction screen (7) provides current compaction information and access to settings. The compaction screen contains information for the vibratory system, the screed assist system, and the tamper system. The compaction screen includes the following tamper-related features:

Settings icon (6)Tamper icon (3) enables and disables the tamper system on the screed. When the icon is tapped, the tamper icon moves left or right. The icon changes colors according to the position. The left position is the OFF position with the icon color gray. The right position is the ON position with the icon color green (shown). The default position is OFF.Note: Tamper icon (3) is only visible when a tamper is installed on the screed.Tamper speed indicator (4) shows the speed of the tamper system. The units displayed depend on the tamper mode. When in auto mode, the indicator reads tamper bar rate in tamps per distance. When in manual mode, the indicator reads tamper motor speed in rpm.Tamper mode indicator (5) indicates the mode of the tamper. The tamper mode is either auto or manual. The default setting is auto mode.When settings icon (6) is selected, the display changes to compaction settings screen (8). When the tamper icon bar on the settings screen is touched, tamper screen (9) is displayed.Tamper screen (9) allows the tamper mode to be changed. When the auto speed bar on the tamper screen is touched, the display changes to auto speed screen (10). When the enable bar is selected on the tamper screen, the tamper mode is set to auto. When the disable bar is selected on the tamper screen, the tamper mode is
