Installing the New Right-Hand Joystick
Mount the new right-hand 460-5343 Joystick Control Gp onto the arm rest.
Connect the 12-Pin 3E-5179 Receptacle from the joystick onto the 155-2252 Connector (Connection CH-C2) from the seat deck harness.Note: Ensure that the connection corresponds to the one on Table 1 below:

Connect the 6-Pin 3E-3382 Receptacle from the Joystick onto the 155-2273 Connector (Connection CH-C3) from the seat deck harness. Ensure that the connection corresponds to the one on Table 2 below:

Strap each Connection using 3S-2093 Tie-Straps.
Secure the joystick to the armrest and tighten the bolts to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).
Install the new boot over the new joystick.

Reinstall the Pod Covers onto their original position on the armrest.Configuring the Right-Hand Joystick with the ET Service Tool
Enable the use of the Proportional Control feature from the Right-Hand Joystick in the Cat Electronic (ET) Service Tool.
Connect the appropriate communication device onto the communication port inside the fuse panel located in the rear liner of the cab in order to access the Cat Electronics Technician (ET) Service Tool.
Ensure that the engine is stopped.
Switch the engine start switch to the ON position.
Open the Cat Electronics Technician (ET) Service Tool.

Select "Service" from the toolbar, and then select "Machine Configuration" from the drop-down menu.

Double-click on "Joystick Input #1 Configuration" or, alternatively, click on this option and select the "Change" button on the bottom.
The "Change Parameter Value" window appears indicating that the current status is "Switch to Ground" for the two-button only right-hand joystick.

Select "PWM" from the drop-down menu on the "Change Parameter Value" window in order to configure the Right-Hand Joystick with the two buttons and thumb roller.

After making the selection, select "Yes" on the new "Confirmation" window that appears after changing the parameters, as indicated in the Illustration below. The new Right-Hand Joystick should now be installed and the Machine is now ready to operate with proportional high flow control.
