TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Disconnect wires (3) from the glow plugs. Remove the glow plug wire harness from the valve cover.2. Loosen the hose clamps, and slide the hose off breather (1). Remove breather (1). Remove the O-ring seal.3. Remove bolts (2). Remove the valve cover.Install Valve Cover
1. Install a new valve cover gasket if needed. Put 5H2471 Cement on the gasket and on the valve cover when the gasket is installed.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE 2. Put valve cover (1) in position on the engine. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 96 24 lb. in. (10.85 2.71 N m) in the number sequence shown.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE3. Put the O-ring seal in place and install the breather on the valve cover. Tighten bolt (2) in the breather to a torque of 120 24 lb. in. (13.6 2.8 N m).4. Put the hose in position on the breather and tighten the two hose clamps.5. Install glow plug wire harness (3) on the valve cover.6. Connect wires to the glow plugs.end by:a) install air cleaner housing
