Battery Cabinet Component Installation
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8275, "Battery Circuit Breaker" section for battery circuit breaker installation.
Secure the XR1 connector (3). Refer to Illustration 1.

Secure the temperature sensor (4). Refer to Illustration 1.Shelf Installation
Assembly of the battery cabinet must be completed by certified personnel as per the electrical standard EN 50091-1-2.Note: The minimum clearance between the top of the battery cells and the next shelf is 150 mm (6 inch).
Secure the corner supports (5). Use eight screws per support.
Install the shelf (6) .

Secure the shelf with two screws (7) in each corner.
Connect the control wire cables. Refer to the "External Battery Cabinet Control Wire Connections" section.
Connect the battery cables to the circuit breaker. Assemble the protective covers (8) to the UPS.

Open the battery cabinet.
Remove the protective covers (8) .
Ensure that the battery circuit breaker is in the OFF position.
Connect the ground conductor to the ground bar in the battery cabinet.

Connect the positive conductor (+) to the positive terminal.
Connect the negative conductor (-) to the negative terminal.
Secure the protective cover after connecting the batteries to the circuit breaker.External Battery Cabinet Control Wire Connections
Connecting the Battery Circuit Breaker
The cables that are to be used for the battery circuit breaker connections are not supplied. The cables that are used must have SELV insulation. The wire size of the cable can be .5 mm to 1.5 mm2 (AWG20 to AWG16) .To ensure sufficient isolation, the cables that are used for the battery circuit breaker control wire cannot be routed with power cables.The UPS cabinet door must be open to access the components that are discussed in the following procedures.UPS Cabinet Component Location
