Information:
Install the Machine Radio
There are two options for installing the machine radio. The radio can be mounted by utilizing the lighting mounts or the radio can be mounted by utilizing the weld bosses.Refer to the following Illustrations for each installation option:

Radio mounted by using the mounting bracket via the lighting mounts.

Radio mounted by using weld bosses.
Determine the installation option. If mounting the bracket to the lighting mounts, proceed to Step 2. If mounting the bracket utilizing the weld bosses, proceed to Step 4.
Remove the bolts from the light bracket on either side of machine and add the wireless radio mounting plate.
Proceed to Step 8
Attach the weld bosses to the mounting bracket.
Use the mounting bracket as a template in order to mark the location of the weld bosses.
Remove the three weld bosses from the mounting bracket.
Weld the weld bosses to the side of the cab in the marked locations.
Attach the radio to the mounting bracket using the stainless steel socket head screws.
Attach the lower support bracket to the bottom of the radio using the remaining stainless steel socket head screws
Bolt the lower support bracket to the mounting bracket.

Shock mount kit
Assemble the shock mount kit to the mounting bracket.
Mount the radio assembly with the remaining screws and washers from the shock mount kit.
Connect the 0 dB antenna tip to the radio, when applicable.
Connect the straight end of the radio cable to the radio.
Route the cable down the ROPS post to the GPS receiver location.Power Harness and Fuse Installation
The power harness is routed from the GPS receiver to the "Run" relay.

Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Route the cable from the GPS receiver to the "Run" relay.
Connect the RED (+24 volt) wire to a fuse holder.
Connect a wire to the supply side of the "Run" relay to the other side of the fuse holder.
Connect the PINK (switched +24 volt) wire to another fuse holder.
Connect a wire to the switched side of the "Run" relay to the other side of the fuse holder.
Connect the BLACK (ground) wire to a ground lug.
Insert the 10 amp fuses into the fuse holders.Setting Machine ID for CD1040
Before applying power to the CAES System for the first time, turn the key switch to OFF position.
Check the voltage between pin A (+) and B (-), the result should be 24 volt.
Check the voltage between pin B (-) and C, the result should be 0 volt.
Turn the key switch to ON position.
Check the voltage between pin B (-) and C, the result should be 24 volt.
Turn the key switch to OFF position.
Connect the three pin connector from the power harness to the matting CAES Main Harness power connector.
Turn the key switch to ON position.Note: The Display Unit should light up and run through the Power On Self Test (POST). After completing the POST, the Display Unit should start booting the Operating System and then Scan Disk (BLUE SCREEN) will run to check the condition of the hard

Remove the bolts from the light bracket on either side of machine and add the wireless radio mounting plate.
Proceed to Step 8
Attach the weld bosses to the mounting bracket.
Use the mounting bracket as a template in order to mark the location of the weld bosses.
Remove the three weld bosses from the mounting bracket.
Weld the weld bosses to the side of the cab in the marked locations.
Attach the radio to the mounting bracket using the stainless steel socket head screws.
Attach the lower support bracket to the bottom of the radio using the remaining stainless steel socket head screws
Bolt the lower support bracket to the mounting bracket.

Shock mount kit
Assemble the shock mount kit to the mounting bracket.
Mount the radio assembly with the remaining screws and washers from the shock mount kit.
Connect the 0 dB antenna tip to the radio, when applicable.
Connect the straight end of the radio cable to the radio.
