Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the secondary steering diverter valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diverter Valve (Secondary Steering) - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Put identification marks on all of the components of the secondary steering diverter valve as the components are being removed. All of the components must be reinstalled to original locations and the original orientation.

Remove relief valve (2) from secondary steering valve assembly (1) .

Remove O-ring seal (3) and O-ring seal (4) from relief valve (2) .

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove four bolts (6) securing load sensing port housing (5) to valve assembly (1) .

Remove load sensing port housing (5) and O-ring seal (7) .

Remove spring (8) and spool (9) .

Remove pressure reducing valve (10) .

Remove O-ring seal (13), backup ring (14), O-ring seal (11), backup ring (15) and O-ring seal (12) from pressure reducing valve (10) .

Remove two plugs (16) .

Remove two check valves (17) and two springs (18) .
Remove O-ring seal (19) from two plugs (16) .

Remove plugs (20), (21), (22) and (23). Remove the O-ring seals from plugs (20), (21), (22) and (23) .
