To prevent personal injury, move the control levers backward and forward to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly loosen the cap of the hydraulic tank to release any pressure in the tank. Be cautious of hot hydraulic oil when any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
The removal of duct (1) and air filter (2) will provide an opening to service the back of the brake control valve.3. Remove two wing nuts (3) and the washers, and remove duct (1) and air filter (2). The engine has been removed for better photo illustration. The engine need not be removed to service brake control valve (2).
The brake accumulator line and the brake control valve line are pressurized. To prevent personal injury, release any pressure in the lines before loosening any fittings. 4. Remove connector (4) from the clip and unplug the connector.5. Disconnect three brake lines (3) and brake line (1) from the back of brake control valve (2).
Be careful not to damage brake light limit switch (5) when removing the brake pedal assembly.
6. Remove bolt (7). Support pedals (9) and plate assembly (10) and remove pin (6) from plate assembly (8). 7. Remove two screws (11) and lay brake light limit switch (5) aside.8. Remove four bolts (12) and the washers, and remove plate assembly (8) and brake control valve as a unit.9. Remove four bolts (13) and the washers, and remove plate assembly (8) from brake control vale (2). Install the brake control valve in the reverse order of the removal. After installation of the brake control valve, bleed the brakes.
