Later Bearing SetupThe bearings for the hitch pin must be fully packed with grease after assembling the joint. The end cap should be packed with grease after the joint has been assembled and the bolts have been tightened. See location (C) .The bearing should be packed with grease through the normal fitting for greasing. The bellows at the top of the A-frame bearing assembly needs to be packed with grease. See location (B) .The machine should not go into service until grease is visible in the bellows assembly. The grease should also be coming out of the seal. See location (A). This may require the machine to be moved and the steering rocked several times in order to get the grease up into the seal. These actions will ensure that the bearing is fully protected. These actions will also help prevent debris and water from entering the bearing.Note: If you are reassembling the front suspension frame, before installation of the bearing on the early setup remove the two lip seal (1) that is located in the cup assembly of the bearing. Discard the seal.
