Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.

Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service or repair the equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.

This control group is designed for use on the Caterpillar hydraulic excavator to enable hydromechanical work tools. This control group activates hydraulic pressure to the auxiliary function circuit of the work tool.
Remove the floor mat from the cab.

Locate the two small access panels on the floor of the cab. Remove the panels in order to install the pedal assemblies.
Position the floor mat on the floor of the cab.
Mark the area of the access hole on the floor mat.Note: The size of the hole in the floor mat should be approximately the same size as support assemblies (6) and (8) .
Remove the floor mat. Remove the material within the marked area of the mat.
Properly position the floor mat on the floor of the cab.

Mount support assemblies (6) and (8) to the cab floor. Secure the support assembly with bolts (15) and washers (13) .
Insert pilot valve groups (7) through the support assemblies (6) and (8) .Note: Port "T" of valve (7) should be facing toward the front of the machine.
Secure valve groups (7) to the cab floor with bolts (14), and washers (13) .
Mount the pedal assemblies (4) and (5) to the valve groups (7). Use bolts (11) and washers (16) .Note: Tighten bolts (11) to 16.7 1.5 N m (12 1 lb ft)
place the rubber pedals (2) and (3) over the pedal assemblies.

Spring Pin and Lanyard mounting detail
Install the spring pins (12) in both pins (9). Refer to Illustration 6.

place the rubber pedals (2) and (3) over the pedal assemblies.
