1. Throttle lever - sets the speed of engine B.2. Fuel switch - turns electrical power on to the engine fuel solenoid, engine controls and engine instruments when the switch is at the "Fuel" position.3. Starter switch - energizes the starter when moved to "Start".4. Tachometer - shows the engine speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) and the total number of revolutions completed by the engine. Low idle speed should be approximately 1000 RPM and high idle approximately 2800 RPM.5. Oil pressure gauge - shows the engine oil pressure in pounds per square inch (PSI). The normal range is 50 to 100 PSI with the engine at high idle and at operating temperature. A lower pressure is normal at low idling speeds.6. Water temperature gauge - shows the engine coolant temperature in degrees Fahrenheit (°F). Normal range is 165°F to 210°F.7. Voltmeter - shows the voltage in the electrical system: battery voltage (24 volts) if the engine is not running or the charging system is not working, alternator regulated output voltage (28 volts) if the charging system is functioning. The reading will increase to about 32 volts if the emergency battery disconnect switch (see page 3-7) is opened while engine B is running.8. Hour Meter (mounted on the engine) - shows the total length of time the engine has run.
