Information:

Lowering the Loader
Personal injury or death can result from a bucket falling.Keep personnel away from the front of the machine when lowering the bucket.
Machines with Electrical Power
If there is a loss of hydraulic power, perform the following procedure to lower the lift arms to the ground.
Place the hydraulic lockout switch in the UNLOCK position.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position and crank for 5 seconds.
Leave the key in the ON position.
Slowly operate the joystick control for the loader into the LOWER position to lower the bucket to the ground.Machines without Electrical Power
If there is no electrical power or the accumulator is not charged, the loader cannot be lowered with the joystick control. The loader must be lowered manually.Note: Two people are needed to lower the loader, manually. One person should be used to ensure that all personnel are clear of the machine while the loader is being lowered.
Ensure that the parking brake is engaged.

Acquire suitable tools to loosen locknut and set screw.
Loosen Locknut.
Slowly turn set screw counterclockwise until Loader starts to lower. Allow loader to lower slowly to ensure that the loader is under control.
When the loader has been fully lowered, turn in set screw clockwise and tighten locknut.
Make the necessary repairs before you operate the machine.Lowering the Boom
Personal injury or death can result from the boom falling.Keep personnel away from the rear of the machine when lowering the boom.
Machines with Electrical Power
If there is a loss of hydraulic power, perform the following procedure to lower the boom to the ground.
Place the hydraulic lockout switch in the UNLOCK position.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position and crank for 5 seconds.
Leave the key in the ON position.
Slowly operate the joystick control for the boom into the DOWN position to lower the boom to the ground.Machines without Electrical Power
If there is no electrical power or the accumulator is not charged, the boom cannot be lowered with the joystick control. The boom must be lowered manually.Note: Two people are needed to lower the boom, manually. One person should be used to ensure that all personnel are clear of the machine while the boom is being lowered.

Make any necessary repairs and reset the line relief before you operate the machine. Refer to Testing and Adjusting manual for this machine to set the line relief.
