(33) Passage The travel motor can be divided into the following three groups:
The rotary group consists of the following components: barrel (6), shaft (19), pistons (7), slippers (9), retainer plate (8) and guide (18).
The parking brake group consists of the following components: springs (2), brake pilot valve (15), brake piston (3), orifice (16), friction plate (5) and separator plate (4).
The displacement change group consists of the following components: spring (11) and (21), piston (10) and (20) and displacement change valve (26). Supply ports and return ports are dependent upon travel direction. If pump oil is supplied through port (24) of the travel motor, the oil returns through port (25). If pump oil is supplied through port (25) of the travel motor, the oil returns through port (24).The case drain oil that has leaked from the sliding surfaces and clearances returns to the hydraulic tank through drain port (23) of body (1). Pump supply oil from the right pump goes in the left travel motor through port (24) during forward travel. The oil from port (24) goes through passage (31) in body (1) to passage (13) of valve plate (14). Now, the pump oil goes through passage (12) of barrel (6) and the oil forces piston (7) to the left.

The pressure oil is discharged through passage (25) of the piston. Then, the oil goes through passage (35) of valve plate (14).Shaft (19) is splined to the barrel. The shaft and barrel rotate counterclockwise for forward travel. In REVERSE TRAVEL position, port (24) functions as an oil return port and port (25) functions as a supply port. The left travel motor rotates clockwise. As the right travel motor is supplied oil from the left pump through port (25), the right travel motor turns clockwise for forward travel. Oil from the left pump through port (24) turns the motor counterclockwise for reverse travel.
