Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all harness assemblies for installation purposes.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect harness assembly (1) .
Remove nut (2) and washer (3). Remove coil assembly (4) .

Remove cartridge assembly (5) .

Remove O-ring seals (6) from cartridge assembly (5) .
Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the remaining modulating valves.Installation Procedure

Install O-ring seals (6) onto cartridge assembly (5) .

Install cartridge assembly (5). Tighten cartridge assembly (5) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).

Install coil assembly (4), washer (3), and nut (2). Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 10.0 1.5 N m (88.5 13.3 lb in).
Connect harness assembly (1) .
Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for the remaining modulating valves.
