BRACKET A. 5M1005 - Caterpillar

1. Remove plug (1), spring (5) and ball (2) from each side of body (3). Remove the O-ring seals from the plugs. 2. Remove piston (7) and seat (4) with a .25 in. (6.35 mm) diameter brass rod (8).3. Remove seat (6) with a .69 in. (17.5 mm) diameter brass rod.
Be extra careful not to cause damage to the piston and the seats during disassembly of the lock check valve.
Assemble Lock Check Valves (For Blade Sideshift, Blade Tip, Circle Drive or Wheel Lean)
1. Install seat (5) in the valve body with a .69 in. (17.5 mm) diameter brass rod. Install piston (4) in the valve body and seat (5). Install seat (1) in the valve body with a .69 in. (17.5 mm) diameter brass rod.
Be extra careful not to cause damage to the seats during assembly of the lock check valve.
2. Check to see that the piston falls freely through the seat. Check both ends of the piston.3. Install new O-ring seals on the plugs.4. Install ball (3), spring (6), and plug (2) in each side of the valve body. Tighten plugs (2) to a torque of 55 5 lb.ft. (7.6 0.7 mkg).end by:a) install blade sideshift, blade tip, circle drive, or wheel lean lock check valve
