Install blocks under the left side end plate. Lower the machine in order to expose the bottom of the rotor planetary reducer.
Rotate the rotor until a plug in the rotor drive is at the bottom of the rotor drive.
Remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container. The capacity of the rotor planetary reducer is 17.8 L (4.7 US gal).

Remove the plate from the housing for the rotor. Remove the plug.
Install the drain plug after draining the oil.
Add oil into plug hole. Fill until oil just starts to overflow the plug hole.
Do not under fill or over fill the rotor planetary reducer with oil. Either condition can cause damage to the rotor drive system. Allow enough time for oil to flow through the bearings and reach the correct level in all compartments. Allow more time for cold oil.
After the correct oil level is ensured, install the plug and the plate.
