Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the RAISE position. Completely lift the screed.

Engage screed lock mechanism (6) on both sides of the machine.
Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Move the screed lift switch on the right instrument panel to the FLOAT position.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the screed lock mechanisms, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move left screed extend switch (7) to the EXTEND position. Release the switch when the left screed extender is fully extended.
Move right screed extend switch (8) to the EXTEND position. Release the switch when the right screed extender is fully extended.
Move auger height switch (9) to the RAISE position. Fully raise the augers.

Move throttle control switch (10) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (11) to the OFF position.

Install a small piece of reflective tape (12) from Tool (A) on the left auger shaft.Note: If the right auger is being tested, place a small piece of reflective tape on the right auger shaft.
Move engine start switch (11) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (10) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch activation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Note: If the right auger is being tested, operate right auger switch (14) in Step 19 and Step 20.
Move left auger switch (13) to the MANUAL position. Use Tool (A) to measure the speed. Auger speed should be 151 5 rpm.
Move left auger switch (13) to the OFF position.
Move throttle control switch (10) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (11) to the OFF position.
If the measured auger speed is not within the specified range, refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Auger Conveyor - Calibrate"
