Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (5) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move throttle control switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move propel mode switch (4) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (6) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to rest on the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on the inactive operator station must also be in the FLOAT position in order to lower the screed.

Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Open access panel (8) on the right side of the machine.

Remove six bolts (9). Remove front wheel fender.

Remove the plug from port "M4" (11). Remove the plug from port "M5" (10) .
Install one Tool (C) on each Tool (D). Install one group of tools in port "M4" (11). Install the second group of tools in port "M5" (10) .
Install one Tool (B) on each Tool (A). Connect one Tool (A) to port "M4" (11). Connect second Tool (A) to port "M5" (10) .

Disconnect reverse EDC (13) at connector (15). Mark the connector for identification. Note: The A333-PK wire and the H861-PU wire are connected to the reverse EDC connector for the right propel pump. Disconnection of the EDC connector will cause a fault to appear in the monitoring system when the machine is started. After this procedure is completed, the fault will no longer be active.
Disconnect forward EDC (12) at connector (14). Mark this connector for identification. Note: The 336-GY wire and the H861-PU wire are connected to the forward EDC connector for the right propel pump. Disconnection of the EDC connector will cause a fault to appear in the monitoring system when the machine is started. After this procedure is completed, the fault will no longer be active.
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (3) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch activation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.
Read the pressure on the gauge in port "M4" (11). Read the pressure on the gauge in port "M5" (10). The pressures should agree within 130 kPa (14.5 psi). If the pressures agree within specification, go to Step 23. If the pressures differ beyond specification, go to Step 20.
