Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the screed. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screed - Remove and Install".

Loosen bolts (2). Turn nut (1) counterclockwise in order to relieve the tension on the chain.
Remove bolts (3), guards (5), and plate (4).

Remove cotter pins (6), side bar (7), and connecting link (8). Remove chain (9) from the sprockets and from the support assembly. Installation Procedure

Position chain (9) around the sprockets. Bring the ends of chain (9) together and install connecting link (8). Install side bar (7) and cotter pins (6).

Apply Tooling (A) to plate (4). Install plate (4), guards (5), and bolts (3).
Turn nut (1) clockwise in order to adjust the tension on the chain. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Conveyor Drive Chains (Auger) - Adjust" for the correct procedure. Tighten bolts (2). End By:
Install the screed. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screed - Remove and Install".
