Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.
Release the tension on the track assembly. Slowly loosen relief valve (2) for track adjuster (1). Do not loosen the relief valve more than one turn.Note: If the track assembly does not loosen with the relief valve open, move the machine forward and backward until the tension is released.

Remove bolts (4) and cover plate (3) from the track roller frame.

Position the track, as shown. Use Tooling (A) to remove the bolts and nuts that hold track shoe (5) that is directly above the hydraulic track adjuster.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove track shoe (5). The weight of track shoe (5) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).

Fasten a suitable lifting device to hydraulic track adjuster (1) .

Remove bolts (6) from the track roller frame assembly.

Remove hydraulic track adjuster (1) from the track roller frame assembly. The weight of hydraulic track adjuster (1) is approximately 93 kg (205 lb).Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic track adjuster (1) in the reverse order of removal.
