1. Remove bolt (1) that holds the upper bucket pin in place.2. Install tooling (A) on the tilt link pin as shown and fasten a hoist to the tooling. Remove the pin. 3. Remove bolts and washers (2) from both ends of the lower bucket pins. 4. Install a support (3) under the lift arms so they can not fall when the lower bucket pins are removed.5. Use tool (B) to remove all four collets (4) from the lower bucket pins. 6. Loosen three bolts (5) at the end of both lift arms. 7. Use tooling (C) to remove the lower bucket pins if they are tight in their bores.8. Fasten a hoist and remove the bucket. Weight of a standard bucket is approximately 1310 kg (2900 lb.).Install Bucket
1. Put clean 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the pin bores and pins for the bucket. Fasten a hoist and put bucket (1) in position on the lift arms with the lower pin bores in the bucket in alignment with the pin bores in the lift arms. If pin assemblies (2) are disassembled to install new seals and bearings, be sure the retainers are welded on the pin with the plugs in the retainers in alignment within 10°. Remove both plugs after the retainers are welded. Fill the pin at one end with 90 Viscosity MPL with the plugs in the pin assemblies at the top until the lubricant comes out the opposite end of the pin. Install the plugs.2. Install lower pin assemblies (2) with the plugs in the pin assemblies at the top. 3. Be sure the lift arms and pin assemblies are in the center of the bucket pin bosses. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 270 25 N m (200 18 lb.ft.). 4. Put 2P2506 Anti-Seize Compound on the inside and outside diameters of collets (4) and put the collets in position on the pin assemblies with the small pins in the collets in alignment with the pin holes in the pin assemblies. Install the washers and bolts that hold the collets in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 875 N m (640 lb.ft.) then hit the bolts with a hammer to cause a reduction in the torque to below 465 N m (344 lb.ft.). Tighten the bolts again to a torque of 875 N m (640 lb.ft.) then hit the bolts with a hammer to cause a reduction in the torque to below 700 N m (520 lb.ft.). Tighten the bolts again to a final torque of 875 100 N m (640 75 lb.ft.). 5. Install tooling (A) on the end of pin (6).6. Put link (7) in alignment with the pin bore in the bucket and carefully install pin (6) with the bolt hole in the pin in alignment with bolt hole (5). Be careful not to damage the seals in link (7). Install the bolt in hole (5) to hold the pin in place.7. Use
