Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.Problem
The spools in the implement valve that control the flow to the left and right travel motors move in opposite directions. This design was chosen to utilize two different drain rails to minimize the hydraulic heat load when tracking the machine.Solution

To improve the tracking of the machine, the lines can be swapped at the right-hand travel motor and pilot valve. Swapping the lines will shift both spools in the implement valve in the same direction for both forward and reverse and will provide a more equal distribution of hydraulic flow.

For the 303.5 to 305.5 models remove the front fender to obtain access to the pilot lines. Switch the lines on the pilot valve as shown in Illustration 2.For the 307 to 308 models the bottom panel under the cab will have to be removed to obtain access to the pilot lines. Switch the lines on the pilot valve as shown in Illustration 3.

Remove the back cover on the right-hand travel motor. There are four lines that attach to the travel motor. The two larger lines should be swapped as shown in Illustration 4.Note: Once the work is completed ensure to purge the air from the travel lines.
Perform the travel drift test to see if an incremental improvement has been made on the travel drift.
Replace the travel motor cover and fender or guard.
