For your own safety, and maximum service life of the truck, make a thorough walk-around inspection before mounting the truck or starting the engine. Look for such items as loose bolts, trash buildup, oil or coolant leaks, condition and inflation of tires. 1. Observe transmission, hoist and brake system oil level, with the body down. Oil should be above the ADD mark in the sight gauge. 2. Measure fuel level.3. Have tire pressure measured. Consult your tire dealer for correct operating pressure for your job conditions. 4. Measure diesel engine oil level. Oil level should be in SAFE STARTING RANGE mark on dipstick. 5. Check steering system hydraulic oil level. Oil should be above ADD mark in sight gauge or above LOW mark on dipstick. 6. Observe coolant level. Maintain coolant to within 1/2 inch (1 cm) of the bottom of the fill pipe. 7. Observe air cleaner service indicator. Service air cleaner if RED piston is locked in the visible position.Positioning Seat
