Information:
Torques for Ground Engaging Tool Bolts
Torques for Standard Worm Drive Band Hose Clamps
The following table shows the torque values for initial installation of hose clamps on a new hose. The table also shows the torque values for reassembly of hose clamps that are on an existing hose or for tightening of hose clamps that are on an existing hose. Torques for Constant Torque Hose Clamps
A constant torque hose clamp can be used in place of any standard hose clamp. Make sure that the constant torque hose clamp is of the same size as the standard hose clamp.Due to extreme temperature changes, hoses will heat set. Heat setting causes hose clamps to loosen. Loose hose clamps can result in leaks. Some component failures can be caused by loosened hose clamps. A new constant torque hose clamp will prevent these failures. Each installation application can be different due to the following factors: type of hose, fitting material, anticipated expansion of the hose and of the fittings and anticipated contraction of the hose and of the fittings.Use a torque wrench to properly install new constant torque hose clamps.Installation torque for maximum expansion of constant torque hose clamps ... 5.7 N m (50 lb in)Installation torque for equal expansion and contraction of constant torque hose clamps ... 10.2 N m (90 lb in)Installation torque for maximum contraction of constant torque hose clamps ... 14.1 N m (125 lb in)Torques for Metric Fasteners
Be very careful never to mix metric with U.S. customary (standard) fasteners.Mismatched or incorrect fasteners causes machine damage or malfunction and can result in personal injury.
The following tables show general torques for metric bolts, for metric nuts, and for metric taperlock studs. These components have a rating of at least SAE Grade 8.8.The material strength identification is usually shown on the bolt head by numbers (8.8, 10.9, etc). When possible, save the original fasteners that are removed from the machine for assembly. If new fasteners are needed, the new fasteners must be of the same size as the fasteners that are being replaced and of the same grade as the fasteners that are being replaced. Metric hardware must be replaced with metric hardware. Check the Parts Manual for the proper replacement part.Torques for Bolts and Nuts
Torques for Taperlock Studs
Torques for Standard Fasteners
The following tables show general torques for bolts, for nuts, and for taperlock studs. The components have a rating of at least SAE Grade 5.Torques for Bolts and Nuts
