Description of Change: A new 183-3561 Caterpillar Monitoring System Control is available. The new control is a direct replacement of the 174-4350 Caterpillar Monitoring System Control. This update incorporates six changes:
The engine overspeed warning on the D250E II and the D350E II has changed. A category 3 warning will activate at 2700 RPM for engine overspeed conditions. The warning will deactivate at 2500 RPM.
A change was made to the Caterpillar Monitoring System in order to match the Electronic Technician (ET) display and the onboard parameter display. The onboard display will show a Component Identifier (CID) of 826. CID 826 will match the ET display of "TC OIL TEMP". The range has been increased on the 100-3055 Temperature Sensor (Torque Converter Oil).
The tattletale error has been addressed. The error that could cause the tattletale to read higher than the actual speed has been corrected. The tattletale feature will now read the correct vehicle speed.
Harness code 56 has been added for the Electronic Technician for the 777D High Altitude truck.
The General OHT Harness Code has been added for the Electronic Technician. The user can view parameters for the OHT by using a General OHT Harness Code on the ET.
A new OHT Air Pressure Sensor MAP for the 185-0600 Pressure Sensor (Brake Air) has been added.Note: The 153-3962 Pressure Sensor must be removed and replaced with the 185-0600 Pressure Sensor when the new 183-3561 Caterpillar Monitoring System Control is used.Note: The user can set the hourmeter on the Caterpillar Monitoring System with the ET. The hourmeter can only be set to the current hours on the module or higher.Adaptable To: The new 183-3561 Caterpillar Monitoring System Control is a direct replacement for the former 174-4350 Caterpillar Monitoring System Control. The new control is adaptable to the machines that are listed above.
