Action Required
A curved wrench, such as Snap-On wrench CX1416, and an Allen socket are necessary to tighten two of the OS1618 Bolts because the bolts are behind the rubber mounts. Also, a Torque Computer, Form SEHS7150, is needed to compute the applied torque when an extension is used on the torque wrench. Tighten the radiator mounting bolts (and nuts) to standard torque specification. See Illustration for the locations of the bolts and nuts to be tightened. The standard torque specifications for the different bolts are shown in the chart adjacent to the Illustration. (SEE ILLUSTRATION) D3B, 931B Only Compute the applied torque for use with the curved wrench and torque wrench combination. This value will be less than the standard torque desired because an extension is used on the torque wrench. Remove engine enclosure side panels for access to the 4 - OS1618 Bolts. Two persons are needed to tighten the bolts that fasten the rubber mounts to the bracket on the radiator guard. One person can hold each of the 4 - 1D4716 Nuts with an open end wrench extended through one of two holes in the bottom of the radiator guard. The other person can tighten the OS1618 Bolts to the torque specified. It is necessary to use the curved wrench, such as Snap-On CX1416, on the 2 bolts at the front of the guard. Apply the computed torque by turning the curved wrench with a torque wrench and Allen socket. WARRANTY ALLOWANCES (SEE ILLUSTRATION) This is a 45-minute job on 910 Loaders and IT12 Integrated Tool Carriers. This is
