BRACKET AS 8I4953 - Caterpillar

Introduction
On certain M300C Wheeled Material Handlers and M300D Wheeled Material Handlers, the brackets that mount the accumulator assembly of the boom dampening system to the boom can fail. The brackets are not substantial enough to support the weight of the accumulator assembly. The accumulator assembly can fall onto the front structure of the machine. New brackets must be fabricated. Position the machine so that accumulator assembly (1) and accumulator assembly (2) are easily accessible. Set the work tool on the ground and turn the machine OFF.Note: Ensure that the pressure in the hydraulic system is released. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release" for the machine in order to properly release the pressure in the hydraulic system.
Loosen and remove clamps (3) in order to remove accumulator assembly (1) and accumulator assembly (2) from the brackets.
