Remove the rocker arm assemblies and the pushrods.
Remove the air inlet heater.
Remove the air inlet heater solenoid.

Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor (1) from the wiring harness. Cut the straps that hold the coolant temperature sensor to the inlet manifold.
Mark both of the speed-timing sensor wires for identification. Remove the wiring harness connectors from the engine speed-timing sensors.
Remove injection actuation pressure sensor (7) from the engine.
Cut straps (8) that hold the wiring harness to the engine.
Disconnect tube assembly (6) from inlet manifold (9) .
Remove the six wiring harness connectors (2) from the fuel injector pumps.
Cut the straps that hold the wiring harness to the inlet manifold. Use Tool (A) and remove the screw from grommet (5). Remove grommet (5) and the stop from the inlet manifold. Remove the wiring harness from the inlet manifold.
Remove 18 bolts (4) that hold the inlet manifold to the cylinder head assembly. Remove inlet manifold (9) and the gasket from the cylinder head assembly.
Remove air temperature sensor (3) from inlet manifold (9) .
Remove the six plugs from inlet manifold (9). Remove the O-ring seals from the six plugs.
