Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: The hydraulic tank (Implement and Brake) is located on the right side of the machine.
Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or proper disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil (Implement and Brake) - Change".

Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (3). Remove bolts (1) and (4) and the washers.

Remove hose assembly (9). Disconnect harness assembly (7). Remove switch assembly (6). Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (8).

Use two people in order to remove panel assembly (10). The weight of panel assembly (10) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Open access door (11).

Disconnect hose assembly (12).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank assembly (13). Remove bolts (14) and the washers. Remove hydraulic tank assembly (13). The weight of hydraulic tank assembly (13) is 283 kg (625 lb).
