Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool Configuration Procedure
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
Connect Cat ET the service tool connector.
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position.
Select the Machine ECM.
You are on the main menu. Select the "Service Configuration" menu item. Double click to select the appropriate sales model.
Select a sales model. Note: After selecting the correct sales model, Cat ET will exit out of the configuration menu.
Cycle power with the keyswitch. Leave the keyswitch in the OFF position for a minimum of 10 seconds.
With the key start switch returned to the ON position, Cat ET will initiate communications with all ECM modules on the machine.
Select the Machine ECM.
From the main menu, select the "Service Configuration" menu item.
Click on the "Data Link Disconnect" button.
Disconnect Cat ET from the service tool connector.
Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.
