Open the engine access door on the right side of the machine.

Loosen retaining bolt (1) .
Remove filter housing (3) and filter element (4) .
Wash the filter element and the filter housing in a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Dry the filter element with pressure air.
Clean the filter housing base.
Inspect seal (2). Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.
Insert the clean filter element into the filter housing.
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Install the filter housing onto the filter housing base.
Tighten retaining bolt (1) to a torque of 24 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).
