Position the work tool with the shells in the open position on a flat surface. Refer to Illustration 1 for the correct position. You may also position the work tool on the side with the shells in the open position on a flat surface. Refer to Illustration 2 for the correct position.
Stop the engine of the host machine in order to prevent inadvertent movement of the work tool.

Note: In order to gain access to rotator head bolts (6, 7) on the inside of housing (4) , remove cover (1) from both sides of housing (4) .
Remove bolts (2) and washers (3) .
Remove cover (1) from both sides of housing (4) .

Check the static inspection torque of all rotator head bolts (6) in outer ring (5) of the rotator. Use appropriate tooling in order to apply the torque that is specified in Table 1. Check all of the rotator head bolts (6) in outer ring (5) of the rotator.

Install cover (1) . Install washers (3) and bolts (2) . Install the cover assemblies on both sides of housing (4) .
