For the initial measurement of the gap, tighten the three bolts (2). Refer to Specifications, "Elevator Speed Reducer" for the required torque.
Measure the gap between the end of plate (1) and retainer (3) .
Install the amount of shims that are equal to the gap minus 0.03 to 0.08 mm (0.001 to 0.003 inch). Place the thicker shims to the outside of the pack and leave the thinner shims in the center.
Tighten the bolts until the flat on the head is opposite the pin hole. Refer to Specifications, "Elevator Speed Reducer" for the required torque.
Drive the pin into the hole.
