3508B (2BM, 3DM, 7SM) Marine EnginesDescription of Change: Several components of the exhaust manifold in the above engines has changed. The exhaust seal, exhaust tube, and the adapter have been replaced by improved parts. The improved parts provide a more leak free and longer lasting exhaust balance tube.Adaptable To: The 9Y-4864 and 123-0324 Exhaust Manifold Groups have changed: * The 141-9286 Adapter replaced the former 133-9311 Adapter.* The 141-9287 Tube replaced the former 135-0173 Exhaust Tube.* The 147-6621 Exhaust Seal replaced the former 135-0171 Exhaust Seal.

The 133-9315 V-Band Clamp and the 135-0172 Exhaust Seal Ring are no longer used within the 9Y-4864 and 123-0324 Exhaust Manifold Groups. When servicing the former adapter, exhaust tube, and exhaust seal with the improved adapter, tube, and exhaust seal, the 133-9315 V-Band Clamp and 135-0172 Exhaust Seal Ring must be removed.The improved 9Y-4864 and 123-0324 Exhaust Manifold Groups are effective with the above engines and adaptable back to first production.
