Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Verachtert parts for replacement.
Lubricate all seals with clean hydraulic fluid.

Note: Use rod (8) throughout the installation process.
Insert rod (8) through the shaft of eccentric weight (7). With two people, lift rod (8) in order to raise eccentric weight (7). Refer to Table 1 for the weight of the eccentric weight.
Insert eccentric weight (7) through the bore in the base of the compactor. The splines in the eccentric weight shaft need to be on the side of the compactor for later installation of the motor.
Once eccentric weight (7) is inside the base of the compactor, slide the eccentric weight to the side of the base that is opposite to the location of the motor.

Install the O-ring to plate (3) that contains bearing (6) .

The side of the compactor that does not contain the motor
With two people, lift rod (8) in order to slide plate (3) that contains bearing assembly (6) onto eccentric weight shaft (7) .
Use a hammer and a brass drift in order to install plate (3) with bearing assembly (6) onto eccentric weight shaft (7) .
Install spacer (4) .
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to six bolts (5).
Install six bolts (5) and the six washers.
Tighten the bolts to a snug fit. The tightening of the bolts to the proper torque will occur in a later step.

Motor side of the compactor
Repeat Steps 6 through 11 for the motor side of the compactor.
Torque bolts (5) on both sides of the compactor.
Check the bearings in order to ensure for proper clearance. Minimum clearance is 0.4 mm (0.0157 inch). Maximum clearance is 1.4 mm (0.0551 inch).

Install the O-ring onto cover plate (2) .
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to two bolts (1) .
Install two bolts (1) and the two washers in order to secure cover plate (2) to plate (3). Tighten the bolts.End By: Install the gear motor. Refer to Service Manual, "Gear Motor - Install".
