1. Loosen clamp (2) and remove breather assembly (1). 2. Remove O-ring seal (4). Check the O-ring seal for wear or damage and replace if necessary.3. Remove five bolts (3) and the washers.4. Remove valve cover (5). 5. Check the condition of valve cover seal (6). If the valve cover seal appears to be worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement. The following steps are for the installation of the valve covers. 6. Install valve cover seal (6) on the valve cover. 7. Put valve cover (5) in position and install five bolts (3) and the washers. Lubricate O-ring seal (4) lightly with clean engine oil before installation.8. Install O-ring seal (4). 9. Install breather assembly (1). Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 4.5 0.5 N m (40.00 4.00 lb in).
