Tandem implement piston pump (10) "M1" port
Remove the plug and install a 6V-3965 Nipple Assembly and 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal into the "M1" port (10) for each pump. Install a 6V-7830 Tetragauge and test hose onto the test nipple in the "M1" port of the pump which is being tested.

Install a 40000 kPa (5800 psi) pressure gauge and test hose onto pressure tap (8) in order to measure the discharge pressure of implement piston pump.

Tandem implement piston pump (11) Connection for signal pressure for power shift
Attach a 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge and a test hose to the power shift system (11) in order to measure the signal pressure for the power shift.
Isolate one implement piston pump by disconnecting the signal pressure for the power shift from all the implement piston pumps which are not being checked. Refer to "Pump Isolation".

Implement and travel control valve (12) Line relief valve for the bucket curl cylinder
Reduce the pressure setting of the line relief valve (12) for the bucket curl cylinder by turning the adjuster counterclockwise by 5 turns.Note: Do not turn the adjuster more than 5 turns. Removal of adjuster out of the valve may result in loss of oil.Note: Each implement piston pump must be isolated and checked separately. Full pump flow through the line relief valve may damage the valve.
Start the engine.
Warm the oil to a minimum temperature of 50 °C (122 °F). Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" for the proper procedure for warming the hydraulic oil.
Set the throttle switch to position 1.

View of the electronic service tool that is connected to the diagnostic connector for ET in the cab
Set the power shift pressure to a constant 1930 kPa (280 psi) by using the Electronic Technician Software. Set the power shift pressure at throttle position 1. Connect a 171-4400 Communication Adapter to the Electronic Service Tool. Use a 139-4166 Cable to connect the 171-4400 Communication Adapter to the diagnostic connector for the ET. Use the override parameters in order to set the power shift pressure.
Stall the bucket in the open position. Read the pressure for the power shift signal, for the "M1" port pressure, and for the pump discharge pressure. The gauges should register the following pressures:
The signal pressure for the power shift should be 1925 kPa (280 psi).
The pump discharge pressure should be below 13500 kPa (1975 psi).
The "M1" port pressure should be 0 kPa (0 psi).

Regulator control valve for the implement piston pump (13) Horsepower adjustment screw
Watch the gauge for the "M1" port. Watch the gauge for the pump discharge pressure. Turn the relief valve adjustment screw for the bucket curl line clockwise. The pressure should stabilize between 690 kPa (100 psi) and 1030 kPa (150 psi). Continue to turn the relief valve adjustment screw for the bucket curl line clockwise. Observe the increase in the pump discharge
