BRAKE G. 4D3440 - Caterpillar

The machine has a tilt cab arrangement for easier access to the engine, torque converter and transmission.To tilt the cab proceed as follows: 1. Fully raise the hood. Remove four bolts (1), four washers (2) and remove side panel (3). 2. Remove the four clips (4) and two cab mounting pins (5). 3. Turn pump lever (6) fully clockwise.
Ensure that all Lines and Wires are clear of any obstructions before tilting the cab.
4. Install the pump handle (7) from the machine toolbox on the pump shaft and operate the pump to raise the cab.5. When the cab is raised install pin (8) through the hole in the cab prop (9).6. Turn pump lever (6) counterclockwise to allow the weight of the cab to be supported by the prop. TO LOWER THE CAB1. Turn the pump lever (6) fully clockwise and raise the cab sufficiently to allow the pin (8) to be removed from prop (9)2. Turn the pump lever (6) counterclockwise and the cab will lower.3. Install the cab mounting pins (5) and clips (4).4. Put the pump handle back in the toolbox.5. Lower the hood. Install the side panel (3) and secure with four bolts (1) and four washers (2).
