Filler cap
Check the coolant level when the engine is stopped and cold. Check the coolant level only after the cooling system filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Remove the cooling system filler cap slowly in order to relieve any pressure. Maintain the coolant level within 13 mm (0.5 inch) from the bottom of the filler pipe. For the proper coolant mixture to use, see this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations"

Filler cap gaskets
Inspect the gaskets of the filler cap. If the gaskets are damaged, obtain a new filler cap. Install the filler cap.
Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
