Remove Accessory Drive Housing
preparatory step: a) remove variable timing unit1. Drain the engine cooling system-capacity 17.5 U.S. Gal. (68 liters). (Marine engine only).2. Remove the exhaust manifold water supply line (Marine engine only). 3. Disconnect fuel drain line (1). 4. Disconnect fuel filter housing bleed line (2).5. Remove eight accessory drive housing mounting bolts (3) and remove the accessory drive housing.Install Accessory Drive Housing
1. Position the accessory drive housing on the engine and install the mounting bolts and nuts.2. Connect the fuel filter housing bleed line.3. Connect the fuel drain line.4. Install the exhaust manifold water supply line. (Marine engine only).5. Fill the engine cooling system (Marine engine only).concluding step: a) install variable timing unitDisassemble Accessory Drive Housing
preparatory step: a) remove accessory drive1. Remove the fuel filter housing and fuel priming pump. 2. Remove four gear retaining bolts (2) and remove the accessory drive gear (1). 3. Remove two thrust plate retaining bolts (6), lock and thrust plate (7).4. Remove drive shaft (5) and coupling (4) from the accessory drive housing.5. Remove bearing cage assembly (3). Using tool setup (A) remove the bearing from cage.Assemble Accessory Drive Housing
1. Using tool (A), install the bearing with the oil hole in the bearing aligned with the hole in the bearing cage. Install bearing cage (1).2. Place coupling (4) in the accessory drive housing.3. Lubricate bearing (2) with SAE 30 engine oil and install the accessory drive shaft (3).4. Lubricate and install thrust plate, lock and retaining bolts.5. Install the fuel priming pump and fuel filter housing.concluding step: a) install accessory drive
