Introduction
This Special Instruction contains a procedure to improve the alignment of the left door on the cab on Medium Wheel Loaders. Proper alignment of the door will improve the service life of the latch for the door.Do not perform any procedure in this publication or order any parts until you understand the information that is contained in this publication.Required Parts

Check the door seal around the entire door. If any damage is visible, replace the seal.

Floor mat at left side of cab (1) Floor mat (2) Insulation (A) 25 mm (1.0 inch)
Cut 25 mm (1.0 inch) from the bottom edge of floor mat (1). 46 mm (1.8 inch) of the floor mat will remain in order to fold over the edge of the floor. Refer to Illustration 1.

Left side of cab (3) Hinge
On the side that is attached to the frame, loosen both hinges (3). Align both hinges so that the holes are centered in the nominal position on the frame. Keep the door against the cab frame while you align the hinges. The door should not be locked in the open position during the alignment of the hinges. Tighten the bolts for the hinges.

Remove bolt (7). Remove existing shims (5). Replace the shims with one 8T-4222 Plated Washer . Set shield (4) in the proper location.
Align striker (6) with the latch. Install bolt (7). Ensure that the door latches properly. The door should open with minimal force on the latch.
Ensure that the door seals around the entire perimeter. Insert a piece of paper to check for gaps around the door. If gaps are present, realign the hinges. Repeat Step 3 through Step 5 until the door seals and the latch operates properly.
