Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the Backhoe from the host machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Installation".Note: The Backhoe must be raised off the ground in order to remove the cylinder. Place the Backhoe on wood blocks.
Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines and on all fittings for installation purposes. Plug all lines. This will help prevent fluid loss and this also helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove the washer and bolt (1). Remove cap (2) .
Disconnect hydraulic lines (4) .
Remove pin (3) .

Remove pin (5). Remove foot (6) .
Remove tube (7) .

Remove stabilizer cylinder (8) .
Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the opposite side.Installation Procedure

Install stabilizer cylinder (8) into position.

Install tube (7). Install foot (6) .
Install pin (5) .

Install pin (3) .
Connect hydraulic lines (4) .
Install cap (2). Install the washer and bolt (1) .
Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the opposite side.
