Information:
2. Put identification on all oil lines as to their location on the swivel joint. Disconnect oil lines (1) and (2) from the rear of the swivel joint. 3. Disconnect oil lines (5) and (6) from the front of the swivel joint.4. Remove cotter pin (8) and the washer. Remove pin (7) from the swivel joint.5. Fasten a hoist to the swivel joint. Remove bolts (3) that hold the swivel joint to the circle drawbar. Remove swivel joint (4). Weight is 75 lb. (34 kg).Install Swivel Joint (If So Equipped)
1. Fasten a hoist to swivel joint (1). Put the swivel joint in position on the circle drawbar. Install bolts (2) that hold the swivel joint to the circle drawbar.2. Put the guide assembly in position under the swivel joint. Install pin (4) that holds the guide assembly to the swivel joint. Install the washer and the cotter pin on pin (4). 3. Connect oil lines (3) and (7) to their correct locations on the front of the swivel joint.4. Connect oil lines (5) and (6) to their correct locations on the rear of the swivel joint.5. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to its correct level.Disassemble Swivel Joint
start by:a) remove swivel joint 1. Remove screws (5) and retainer (1) from body (2). Remove the shims from under the retainer. Remove the seal from the retainer.2. Remove bolts (4) and the cover from rotor (3). Remove the O-ring seal from the cover. 3. Remove rotor (3) from body (2) with an arbor press and tool (A). 4. Remove seals (6) from body (2). 5. Remove seal (7) from rotor (3).Assemble Swivel Joint
1. Install new seals (3) and (2) on rotor (1). Put SAE 10 oil on the seals.2. Install new seals in the body. Put SAE 10 oil on the seals. 3. Install rotor (1) in body (4) with an arbor press. 4. Install new O-ring seals (6) in cover (5). Put cover (5) in position on rotor (1). Install the bolts that hold it. 5. Install new seal (8) on retainer (7). Put shims (9) in position on the rotor. Put retainer (7) in position on body (4). Install the screws that hold the retainer to the rotor. Measure the distance between the retainer and the body with a feeler gauge. Add or take away shims to get a gap of .005 to .020 in. (0.13 to 0.51 mm) between the retainer and the body.end by:a) install swivel joint
1. Fasten a hoist to swivel joint (1). Put the swivel joint in position on the circle drawbar. Install bolts (2) that hold the swivel joint to the circle drawbar.2. Put the guide assembly in position under the swivel joint. Install pin (4) that holds the guide assembly to the swivel joint. Install the washer and the cotter pin on pin (4). 3. Connect oil lines (3) and (7) to their correct locations on the front of the swivel joint.4. Connect oil lines (5) and (6) to their correct locations on the rear of the swivel joint.5.
