CAUTION: The following procedures assume that the system installation inspection and initial startup have been performed by a qualified Cat Service personnel. A Cat Dealer authorized representative must perform the initial system startup to ensure proper system operation.

This procedure should only be performed after the system has been anchored into position and all wiring has been properly connected. The UPS750 system has manual controls on the SIO cabinet. The following instructions describe the operation of the manual controls. Refer to Illustration 1.

Reference Illustration 1.Key Switch
The key switch is used to transfer the UPS manually, between "Bypass" and "NORMAL" modes.The key switch has two positions:"Bypass" - This position is used to allow an operator to manual transfer the system to bypass during certain maintenance procedures. In this position the UPS will not condition power, and offers no protection to the load from problems with the incoming power."NORMAL" - This position is used during normal system operation. This position does provide load protection for problems with incoming power.The key switch is used under the following conditions:
Reset or restart the system after a locked error or fault.
Manual transfer of the system into the "Bypass" or "NORMAL" position.Note: The key switch only provides operator instruction to the UPS for the desired operation. The system will still automatically transfer to bypass if necessary.Note: If the key switch is in "Bypass", the UPS cannot be remotely transferred to "NORMAL"."Emergency Power Off (EPO) Button"
This button is red in color, and is labeled "EPO". The "EPO" button is used only in an emergency, to shut down the UPS. The "EPO" button should not be used to stop the unit in non-emergency situations. The "EPO" button will latch when pressed, and must be pressed again to restart the UPS after the emergency has been resolved or averted.Note: When the "EPO" button is used, all internal power is disrupted. The DC bus energy will decay to zero as the flywheel spins down and stops. Power is not supplied to the load, but voltage is still present on the input terminals. The critical load will lose protected power."Horn Silence" Button
Pressing the "Horn Silence" button silences the audible alarm.Rebooting the Touchscreen Display
If the display has to be reset, and you have Administrator privileges, perform the following steps:Note: Touch does not mean push. Fingertip touch, not fingertip push.
