Route the gauge end of the 318-8347 Harness Assembly (3) up through the floorplate and through the rear panel behind the dash as shown in Illustration 11. Use strap (5) to secure.
Connect the 318-8347 Harness Assembly (3) to the new fuel level gauge gp (1). Connect the black wire to the "G" terminal on the back of the new fuel gauge. Connect the pink wire to the "S" terminal on the back of the new fuel gauge.
Connect the 318-8348 Wiring Harness (2) to the existing hydraulic temperature gauge (H) which is located behind the dash. Connect the white end to the "I" terminal on the hydraulic temperature gauge. Connect the black end to the "G" terminal on the hydraulic temperature gauge. Connect the opposite end of the white wire to the "I" terminal on fuel level gauge gp (1). Connect the opposite end of the black wire to the "G" terminal on fuel level gauge gp (1) .

Reinstall dash panel assembly (A) .
Route the 318-8346 Harness As (4) along the left fender and lower portion of the fuel tank.Note: Illustration 14 through Illustration 19 shows the correct procedure for the routing of the new harness. The illustrations are in order from the dash to the fuel tank.

Connect and tie two harnesses shown in Illustration 14. The two harness that are connected are the 318-8347 Harness Assembly (3) coming from the dash, and the 318-8346 Harness Assembly (4) which is routed down the left hand fender.

Connect and tie two harnesses shown in Illustration 18. The two harness that are connected are the 318-8346 Harness Assembly (4) from the left hand fender, and the 236-8204 Harness Assembly (7) which is routed up the fuel tank.

Route the 236-8204 Harness Assembly (7) up the fuel tank using straps (5) to secure.

Remove the old 138-0444 Sensor Kit (6) by removing two screws (J) .
Install the new 138-0444 Sensor Kit (6) on to fuel level assembly (G) .
Connect the 236-8204 Harness Assembly (7) to the 138-0444 Sensor Kit (6). Secure with strap (5) .
Reinstall all components that were removed in the ""Removal Procedure"" Reinstall the floorplate, seat plate, seat, dash panel assembly, the panel in front of the instrument cluster and the panel over the instrument cover.
