Field Winding Continuity Test
1. Put the multimeter on the 200 ohm resistance (Ohms) scale. Touch the meter leads between field winding leads (4).2. Hold one meter lead on motor terminal (3). Touch the other meter lead on each field winding lead (4).3. For all measurements, the correct resistance is 0.0 to 0.1 ohms (meter reading 00.0 to 00.1).4. If the resistance is greater than 0.0 to 0.1 ohms, the field winding is open.
