Cavity (21) connects the following components: port (11) from the steering piston pump, ports (10) and (9) for the steering accumulators, port (8) for the steering control valve, passage (19) for steering solenoid valve (4) and steering relief valve (3). Return port (6) drains oil to the steering section of the hydraulic tank. Cavity (14) connects the following components: return port (6), port (1) for return oil from the steering system, passage (19) for steering solenoid valve (4) and steering relief valve (3) .Steering Solenoid Valve
Steering solenoid valve (4) is used to drain pressure oil from the accumulators when the machine is not being used. The oil pressure of the steering accumulators is in cavity (21). This oil flows through orifice (22) into passage (19). When the engine start switch is moved to the OFF position, steering solenoid valve (4) is activated. An activated steering solenoid valve (4) allows oil from passage (19) to return port (6) and to the steering section of the hydraulic tank. Orifice (22) controls the rate of pressure that is drained from the accumulators.

Front view of cabLocation of Chassis Electronic Control ModuleThe steering solenoid valve is activated for 70 seconds. The steering solenoid valve is activated by the Chassis Electronic Control Module when the engine start switch key is moved to the OFF position. The Chassis Electronic Control Module is located inside the panel at the front of the cab. The steering solenoid valve is not activated when the battery disconnect switch or the engine shutdown control is used .Steering Relief Valve
If the accumulator charging valve and the pump control valve fails to destroke the steering piston pump, steering relief valve (3) will protect the steering system. The oil in cavity (21) enters passage (20) in steering relief valve (3). If the pressure of the oil is within limits,
