Place the rotator in a suitable tool. Secure the rotator properly.

Loosen the seven screws that hold the two blocks to the motor. Remove the outer block from the motor. Remove the inner block from the motor.Note: The outer tube may come with the block when the inner block is removed from the motor.

Use a suitable tool in order to remove the inner tube. Refer to Illustration 3.

Remove the motor from the swivel. Use a lifting eye in order to lift the motor. Refer to Illustration 4.

Install new seals into the main shaft. Refer to Illustration 5.

Mount the motor to the swivel. Use the lifting eye in order to support the motor. Ensure that the guide pins align properly with the holes. Tighten the screws to 120 N m (90 lb ft).

Change all seals on the inner tube. Ensure that the seals are installed correctly. Lubricate the seals before you install the inner tube in the main shaft.

Install the inner tube by hand. Ensure that the inner tube is installed in the correct position. Grease the surface for the inner block.

Reinstall the outer tube. Change the seals in the inner block. Ensure that the new seals are installed correctly. Use a plastic mallet in order to mount the inner block. Ensure that the seals are not damaged during the installation of the inner block.

Measure the distance between the inner tube and the top of the inner block in order to ensure that the inner tube is installed correctly. The distance should be between 0 mm (0 inch) and 3.48 mm (0.137 inch). Refer to Illustration 10.

Grease the surface for the outer block on the inner block. Place a new O-ring between the two blocks. Mount the outer block.

Tighten the seven screws to 60 N m (44 lb ft). Block all open hydraulic ports with plugs until the rotator is reinstalled on the machine. Refill the rotator with grease.
