Use straps and Tooling (B) to secure tire and rim (3) to a lift truck, as shown. The approximate weight of the tire and rim is 712 kg (1570 lb).Note: Clean the studs, the lug nuts, and the mounting surfaces of the hub and the rim before the installation procedure.
Install Tooling (C) to the hub, as shown.
Carefully install the tire and rim on the axle.
Install one lug nut (2) to the top and one lug nut (2) to the bottom of the axle to prevent the tire and rim from coming off during the removal of the straps and lift truck.
Remove Tooling (C).

Install the remaining lug nuts (2) to secure tire and rim (3).Note: Do not tighten lug nuts (2) fully.
Use the alternating sequence in illustration 4 to Tighten lug nuts (2).
Tighten lug nuts (2) to a torque of 645 35 N m (476 26 lb ft). Use the alternating sequence in illustration 4.

Typical Example
Use Tooling (A) to lower the machine to the ground. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A). Remove Tooling (A) from axle (1).
Recheck the lug nuts after the first 2 hours of service. Use Step 8 to tighten the nuts.
Recheck the lug nuts after 40 hours of service. Use Step 8 to tighten the nuts.
