The new software changes the 5 Gauge Cluster internal torque converter oil temperature map to align with the temperature map of old display. This enhancement makes the torque converter oil temperature indication on 5 Gauge Cluster more acceptable. Refer to Illustration 1 as an example for the comparison at the same temperature 110 degree.Note: Compared with the old display, the previous 5 Gauge Cluster internal torque converter oil temperature map made the torque converter oil temperature gauge get too close to the red zone even though the torque converter oil temperature was at acceptable range around 110 degrees. The inaccurate depiction of the torque converter oil temperature by the gauge has led the Cat dealers to report transmission overheating problem and hence to stop the machines.

Note: Special attention should be paid if there is a real overheating problem. The 5 Gauge Cluster overheating alert will turn on when the torque converter oil temperature is over 129 degrees at the beginning of the red zone.
